Perfect Timing
I am sure you are wondering why I am posting a picture of this flower in our yard. After Dad died, so many wonderful friends sent cards, flowers, and plants. One of the most unique memorials was this Oriental Casablanca Lily given to me by some dear friends who we knew while on staff, Olivia and Corey. The most unique aspect of this flower is that it blooms mid July. I thought it was so thoughtful of Olivia and Corey to send bulbs to be planted that would bloom each year around the anniversary of my dad's death. Would you believe that there were no blooms on Thursday, one was beginning to open on Friday, and on the 19th the flowers bloomed! I couldn't get over it! A little reminder that God is in the details of our lives.

I had no idea about your dad. I am so very sorry. I remember how close you and your parents were when we were at Alabama...and you were especially a daddy's girl! What a beautiful lily as a reminder each year of your father's life!
