Camp Mimi

My mom was able to come down for several days before Maddie's baptism. She was a big help as I surprised Joe with a mini home makeover on our deck for his 30th birthday! While she was in town, we took a trip to the local museum of arts and sciences. It is the neatest place where the kids can do all sorts of arts and crafts. You can dress up as a fireman, see live animals, dig for fossils, build with Lego's... It is great and free on Monday afternoon for anyone living in Bibb county( how is that for a plug to come visit!) The kids and I went back to Birmingham for a week for Camp Mimi where the fun continued! We took day trips to visit my grandparents and went swimming at their pool! Noah loved dumping water on Mimi's head! We were able to visit with my sister's family and ride their 4- wheeler! Noah thought that was pretty cool and loved playing with his cousin Clayton! We topped off the week with a trip to the zoo! Birmingham has the BEST zoo! We got to see so many animals up close, feed a giraffe, and play in the water!!! I am jealous of those of you who live there! I would be there all the time! It was a great time with my mom and Noah was sad to see her go. Thanks Mimi for a wonderful week! We love you!

Glad you guys had so much fun in B'ham, but this little trend of coming while we are out of town MUST stop! Love you!

Mimi had the time of her life. What joy to see the delightful expressions of discovery while digging for fossils, feeding giraffes, and playing in the water geysers at the zoo.
