Happy Birthday to Noah!!!

Happy Birthday to my sweet boy! I can't believe he is two years old!!! What a joy and delight he has been to us! Noah brings us so much laughter and love! I thought I would share some new things he has been doing to mark his second year!

As we have been brushing his teeth, I recently tried to teach him to spit at the end. What a mistake!!! We were all four eating at Chilis last Friday and Noah tasted something he didn't like, so he just spit it out right there on the table! Talk about the China days! His new favorite saying is, "I did it!" He loves to play with all his trucks and cars and crashes them into each other while exclaiming "BOOM!" Yesterday, Noah was playing with Madeline and would tell her, "Watch" as he would throw the ball around the room. He did this over and over. Sweet girl couldn't take her eyes off of him! It amazes me how much they pick up from us. Weeks ago, I hid from him a couple of times and would jump out and yell, "BOO!" He would get so tickled! Then last week I could not find him anywhere. (Never a good thing, but seems to happen quite often!) This usually means he is up to no good, but I still didn't seem him. I went back into his room (for a second look) and he was hiding behind his long curtain panels and jumped out and yelled, "BOO!"

My favorite story is from last week. Noah has been learning the Catechisms in Church. I have been talking with him about these Biblical truths at home a little bit. He was eating breakfast and I asked him,

Me: "Noah, who made you?"
N: "Gawd" (God)
me: What else did God make?
N: "Ah tings" (All things)
Me: That's right! God made all things. (Pointing outside) He made the birds, the sky, the trees. God made Mommy, Daddy, Noah, and Baby Maddie.

I walked away and started cleaning up the kitchen and I hear Noah talking. I look back and he is looking towards the window, pointing, and saying God .... birds......trees... sky... It was the sweetest thing! I couldn't make out everything but you could hear those words in the midst of his jabbering! I thought to myself, now this is worth it! Each day brings many challenges as a mom, but to be able to teach our children about God and His love for them is the highest privilege!

Joe and I are so thankful for this ball of energy that the Lord has given us! We rejoice for the past two years God has given us with Noah and hope and pray for many more birthdays to celebrate!

(check out the Lillypie ticker at the top! Pretty neat!)

Susie--I think it's time for a formal 2 year photo shoot. Maybe in the next few weeks?
