We made cupcakes to celebrate Jesus' birthday today. Noah and Madeline liked this a lot! After we read our story for the Jesse Tree and placed the manger ornament, we sang "Happy Birthday". I have never done this before but thought it would be a good way for Noah to understand why we are celebrating Christmas. He certainly understands birthday parties, presents and cupcakes, so we thought we would give it a try. I think it was very special for all of us. I will post more on the Jesse Tree later but it turned out to be so significant for us all. Funny Madeline story- She did not eat anything for dinner, but I didn't want her to miss out on the cupcake since it was for a special reason. So teasing her I said, "Madeline, grace is you getting a cupcake though you don't deserve one." To which she replied, "Oh...." then took a big bite of her cupcake!

Such a great idea and tasty too!! Noah really enjoyed the ornaments on the Jesse Tree and the Bible stories for each one.I think the rrrrgh lion was his favorite. As Noah would say,"Amazing!". What a talented creative Mommy you are! Loved every minute of my visit. Mimi XOXOXOXOXXOXOXO
