I have been anticipating this month for some time now! Joe took off on Monday so we could decorate for Christmas! The day before we took the kids to pick out a tree. Noah was pretty excited to borrow Mr. Scott's big truck and help us decorate. He made it for the star placement and then we shipped him off to bed! Madeline, my feisty little daughter, has been pretty determined to touch as many balls on the tree all the while flinching for the correction she knows she will receive! When do they learn?! The top pics are of our trip to Bass Pro to see Santa and play some games they had. Noah walked right up to Santa, sat on his lap and told him he wanted the Backyardigans Memory game! We got a cute, free picture too! Madeline wanted nothing to do with the man and the cycle continues...one year one of them likes him and the other doesn't, now it's the opposite! One day we are destined to get both of those kids on Santa's lap!

Even though we haven't bought the tree yet, I know when we start decorating it I will be thinking the same thing, except substitute Madeline for David (and masculine pronouns of course). You asked when the ornament fascination stops, and I'm just relieved to find out that it does stop (has it stopped for Noah?).
