Fun Filled Weekend!

We had the best weekend! I was determined to live it up and enjoy everything as much as possible! Our sweet friends, Wes and Marie offered to babysit for us Friday night and treat us to a movie! Funnily enough, Papa came into town on his way to get Gammie and also offered to babysit and treat us to dinner! So Joe and I were able to go to our favorite restaurant, Grits, and live it up! It was wonderful! Thank you to Papa, Wes, and Marie! Joe and I had a great time together and it was so nice to dine without the kiddos!

BIG NEWS: We are so proud of Noah...he finally gave up his paci last week!!! We could not be more thrilled or shocked at how easy it went this time...a year later mind you! On Sunday night, Joe decided that it was time to take it away. I was sitting in the living room listening to this conversation going on down the hall, freaking out because it was a week before the baby was coming. To me, the timing was not so great! However, if Joe wanted to go for it and was willing to be the one to suffer through the ordeal...so be it! Much to our dismay, Joe only stayed in there with him for about 30 minutes and that was that! The Lord was very gracious to us and this was such a blessing. We rewarded Noah with a trip to Monkey Joe's if he made it all week! I couldn't stop smiling as I watched my two very energetic and spunky kids bound down all the slides and ladders! Madeline was especially a hoot! You would think she is too small to go for it, but not with the help of her beloved Papa! She scaled through those obstacles with a glance over her shoulder to make sure he was right behind her! It was absolutely adorable!

Saturday night we were able to surprise one of my best friend's husband with a 4oth birthday party! It was so fun to help plan and throw Sam's party! It kept my mind off of the upcoming week. And you know how I love to throw a birthday party. It was a wonderful night to be with our friends and celebrate Sam! Happy 4oth to Sam!

Sunday started off with Worship at our favorite, new Church, Houston Lake Presbyterian. We have been so blessed these past 6 months through finding this Church. Again, God has been so gracious to us to lead us to such a Christ- centered Church where the Gospel is preached each week and where my soul has found much healing and encouragement to believe the beauty of God's love for me, despite the ugliness of my sin. That night we celebrated three friends birthdays with pedicures and dinner. It was fun, if not a little hectic, with 12 girls getting pedis all at the same time!
I just feel so blessed to have had such a great weekend with many of my favorite people and doing things that I love. It was the perfect way to spend my last weekend before life changes yet again!
