Grandma and Grandpa with the family in July 2007
the great grandchildren (two out of four)
Two weeks ago Thursday, Joe's grandmother passed away. It was unexpected to us, but not to her Heavenly Father. We were able to fly up to IL to be with all of our family. It was a special time to be together as we reminisced and celebrated her life. We will miss Grandma greatly! She was the only Grandma I knew who was online and liked to check our blog and send us emails! She loved her kids, grand kids, and great grandchildren so much. We will always be grateful for her love towards all of us.
As we celebrate Easter tomorrow, we are comforted in knowing the reality we have in Christ's death and resurrection and the eternal life He gives to us! What a Mighty and Gracious Saviour we serve!
"Christ the Lord is Risen Today" Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia! Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia! Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia! Sing, ye heavens, and earth reply, Alleluia!
Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia! Where, O death, is now your sting? Dying once he all doth save... Love's redeeming work is done, fought the fight, the battle won, death in vain forbids him rise, Christ has opened Paradise, Alleluia!
Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia! Following our exalted Head... Made like Him, like Him we rise, Alleluia! Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!

What a special way to remember Joe's grandmother!
I love when you said, "It was unexpected to us, but not to her Heavenly Father." That is so often the case in our lives. And exactly what I needed to read this Saturday morning as we prepare for Easter.
I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!
Susie,
The pictures and memories of Mom were so touching. She and Dad truly enjoyed their last visit with you. She just couldn't get enough news, pictures, and updates about her family. Like the Easter message tells us, she's at peace and saved.
With Love,
Karen
please tell Joe we are so sorry to hear of his loss! We will be praying for your family!
What peace our savior does bring!
love you guys!
