As promised...we have really loved that Augusta has so many great things to do as a family. It is so nice to live so close to the lake and enjoy boat rides courtesy of Papa and Gammie! Our church, First Presbyterian, has lake property where you can go camping. We loaded up our gear and attempted our second camping trip with three small children in May. There were highlights of being together, roasting marshmallows, exploring... and there were some lows! Mainly the sleeping or lack thereof! Little Sadie didn't quite take to sleeping in the tent! Nor could she enjoy herself very much since she was not mobile! As we lay awake in the middle of the night, we wondered why we did this to ourselves...again! But Noah and Madeline had a ball and that is what counts.
One of my most favorite things has been bike rides at the Augusta Canal. It is a beautiful place. The path runs about three miles down the canal. Joe grew up playing here as a kid. He loves to take the kids here and show them around. At different points along the way you can walk down to the river and there is also a place to tube! We have yet to go tubing but look forward to it!
Our neighborhood has a path that leads to the Savannah River. It is fun to take walks down there and they love to throw rocks into the water. We have gone fishing several times. We usually spend our time untangling lines, chasing crickets and making sure the kids don't fall off the bridge! Through all that we have actually managed to catch some fish!

Samuel would LOVE to have a fishing place so close to our house! That is awesome!!!
you might love Augusta and Augusta might love you, but there is a HUGE gaping whole in Macon that can never be filled. I'm so glad your family is so happy...we miss you so much!!
