Sadie's Baptism

We had Sadie baptized on May 31. It was a special day with our family and friends. I am so glad that everyone was able to be there and be a part of this occasion. The Lord has greatly blessed me and Joe with a wonderful family. Standing up there with our three children (wow, I still can't believe that I a mother of 3!) I felt so blessed to be the mother chosen for Noah, Madeline, and Sadie as well as the wife to my wonderful Joe. I stand amazed at how the Lord works in the details of our lives, how He orchestrated drawing Joe and I in relationship to Himself, bringing us together in marriage, giving us the very great privilege and responsibility of raising these three precious children in a way that brings honor and glory to Him. The day to day challenges of parenting are so hard, to parent in a way that does glorify God. I am so thankful for God's grace and assurance that He doesn't leave us alone to do this. He never calls us to something that He doesn't equip us for. I recently read Ginger Plowman's book, Don't Make Me Count to Three, and have been so encouraged and renewed in my parenting. I would highly recommend it. It is very heart oriented and practical on training our children in righteousness. I really can't say enough good things about it.

My sweet Sadie, Daddy and I pray that you will always know of the Father's deep love for you. May you experience Him in way that is real and life changing. May you cling to the Gospel throughout all the days of your life. You are lovely because He first loved you.
