Family Beach Trip

We had a wonderful vacation in Panama City last week. We were able to go with our dear friends, the Rumphs. It was the first time we have been to the beach with another family before. We had a lot of fun playing on the beach, riding the waves on the boogy board, building sand castles, finding seashells, swimming in the pool...it was so nice to get out of our daily routines and just enjoy time together as a family. I was also able to read TWO books, sip on fruity drinks, and just relax...well some of the time! It was a lot of hard work getting three kids ready for the beach. Joe and I were both worn out by the end of the week!

My favorite part of the trip was taking the kids on a pirate ship cruise. If anyone is ever in PCB, you must do this! It was 2 hours loaded with fun and all sorts of activities for the kids...a real water gun fight with a boat that pulls up along the ship, sword fights, dancing, tattoos, face painting, story time along with a "real" treasure box being pulled up from the water...it was awesome! Joe said that while holding Noah during the water gun fight he didn't realize that Noah was scared until he saw his face...poor little guy thought the fight was real. Though he was scared Joe said he just kept pointing his water gun and shooting! Got to love that boy!

Another first was taking the kids to play put-put golf! It was free for kids under 6 and was priceless watching them! I have very fond memories of the beach and mini golf with my family growing up so it was special to be able to do these things with my children. And of course we took the infamous beach pictures which of course didn't go as well as I'd hope. I settled for individual pictures with the hope that just one day, I too will be able to get these three together! I have given up on a family shot! Despite a few bumps during the week, we had a wonderful time. Thank you so much to the Rumph family for being so generous and making it all possible! We love you!

Sadie looks so big!!!! She just has such a different look than the other two. They are all beautiful!!! Going to the beach with 3 IS work!!! It's fun though, just kind of exhausting! Sorry you didn't get pics of all 3...it is a challenge for sure! That pirate cruise sounds awesome!!!!

You did the bangs! I love them. I want to see a better pic. The kids look adorable! I love the big pink bow in Maddie's hair and Sadie does look so big! I can't believe you got to read 2 books! That's a feat. The cruise looks really fun, so does the putt-putt!

So Precious. It looks like so much fun. Wish I could have been there. I still dream of our families going together one day. I can't believe how big Sadie is smiling.
