It was so special to have most of our family and several of our close friends in Macon join us to celebrate Madeline's first year. The day was beautiful and everyone enjoyed being outside. Julia, Jeff and Maggie Pelton were able to come from Peachtree City. It was a treat to have them there. Madeline just loved Maggie (bottom right). Mimi came in Thursday and was a huge help in pulling the party off. Papa, Gammie, and Great Grandma Lovekamp were also there and a big help as well. We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends.

- The Lord took me overseas after college where I happened to meet my future husband! Joe and I were married in May 2003. A little over two years later we welcomed our first child, Noah. 20 months later, Madeline arrived...21 months after that Sadie made us a family of five! Sadie was dianosed with Epilepsy in September 2011. For the past 18 months we have searched for the answer that is causing her significant developmental delays. We were told in September 2012 that she has a rare form of epilepsy called Atypical Rolandic Epilepsy that has been untreatable with medicine. We have found ourselves in the role of special needs parents to our precious baby girl. We were unprepared for this road. It has been a hard one, but one that we feel God has given us. On the good days, it feels like a privilege. On the bad days, we choose by faith to believe that the Lord is good and in control.
