Sewing Extravaganza!!!

This past weekend two of my best friends from college, Julia and Rachel, came to town for a spontaneous sewing weekend! Husbands were left behind to keep the kids, while Joe braved it with 3 women and 2 kids all weekend! When I say we sewed the whole weekend, I mean from sunrise to sunset! The only reason we stopped was to eat and use the bathroom! We barely made it out of our pj's on Saturday, sewing till after midnight both nights! It was awesome! All of our little girls came out with some pretty cute outfits if I don't say so myself! Julia was our teacher and showed me and Rach some amazing patience! Let's just say that the dress in the middle took me about 13 hours! My friend, Natalie, joined us at night as well as Donna, who was lovingly named "edward scissorhands" because she cut out patterns and fabric for me!

It was so great to be together. We laughed, cried, talked, sang, ate... all the makings for a great girly weekend! Thanks go to my amazing husband, who served us and our children so well... he left me speechless several times. I have no idea what I would do without that man! He told me later that he was glad I got to do the sewing weekend and we should do it regularly, "just not too regularly"!!!

Love you girls!

Oh sew fun!! We definitely need to do it again! You were a great hostess! Perfect meal planning that allowed us to keep turning out clothes! Thank Joe again for everything!
