Joe and I celebrated our fifth anniversary on May 4! We went to St. Simons Island for four days WITHOUT the kids!!! It was paradise! Our sweet friends, the Rumphs and Cheeks, were gracious enough to each keep a child until the Lovekamps could get here on Friday. Thankfully, they both did great while we were away! Joe and I were able to relax and celebrate our life together. We ate at our favorite places, took in a movie, sat on our balcony, went to the pool and beach, rode our bikes, slept in... it doesn't get much better than that for us! We were in desperate need for a break from all that is going on in our lives. St. Simons has become so special to us. When we arrive on the island, we feel like are coming home. It is so peaceful there. Crazily enough, on the corner of the village, is a restaurant called "The 4th of May"! We have always loved that and on Sunday they had it all decorated with balloons and bikes hanging from the roof (not sure about that technique, but whatever)!!!
It has been a wonderful five years of marriage and I look forward to a lifetime of "4th of Mays" with Joe. I love you!

It seems like it was just yesterday we were celebrating your wedding!:) Ya'll are such a precious, dear couple and I am so glad you were able to get away! Okay...what's up with you always looking so cute and stylish in every pic? Poor Kap gets sweat pants, gym shorts and tank tops everyday! I will end up on "What not to Wear" one day---you just wait!! You look fabulous, sweet friend!

totally agree with rachel and glad that I don't have to see your cute, sassy-looking self everyday!! Only kidding...you look so great! Glad you had a wonderful anniversary! Our 8 year is just a couple of weeks away...where does time go??
